Within our website we use the following systems which collect data:
Email Marketing (Mailchimp) - This is for when you decide to opt-in to receive email marketing from The Wight Bear Family. We use MailChimp to store the email address and full name of everyone who signs up for the emails. We then send out email marketing every now and then to announce news or to promote events etc. You can unsubscribe from this at any time by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ button which is always at the end of the emails we send. We have a Data Processing Agreement signed with MailChimp. Otherwise, you can email us directly and ask to be removed from the list - hello@thewightbear.co.uk. Online Shop (Squarespace & Stripe) - By purchasing products from our online shop, you will be inputting personal data such as your name, contact details, and address for billing and delivery. This information is stored within our Squarespace Content Management System and can only be accessed by our website administrators. Once your order has been fulfilled, we delete your information from our site within 90 days. Note: All financial transactions with a credit/debit card are processed offsite through the Stripe Payment Gateway. Our website has an SSL Certificate for a secure connection and processes date encrypted. We have a Data Processing Agreement signed with Stripe. Squarespace and Stripe fully comply with GDPR and you can access information on them here - www.squarespace.com / www.stripe.com
Google Analytics (Google) - We use Google Analytics on our site to help us with our website stats and the content we provide. We do not use the Google Analytics Advertising Feature.
Cookies - We use cookies within our website, which you have the option of accepting upon your first visit to the site (This acceptance note should appear every 30 days). A ‘cookie’ is a file placed on your computer's browser which means our website can identify your computer to present content to you efficiently. We can also use the cookie data to ascertain information such as the number of visits to our website, and the pages viewed. If you do not accept the cookies then you can still view the website but note that it may affect some functionality and some pages may not be accessible.
