Here at The Wight Bear we love beer, and want to share our love of beer with you with our forever rotating wide range of guest beers from up and down the country, and even some from abroad! We have fresh cask, a 10 tap craft keg wall, an exciting still cider line-up and a fully stocked wide range of beers and ciders in our fridge.

Those not fancying a beer, don’t worry we’ve got a fantastic new range of wines, as well as some new additions to the spirit shelves, including some fantastic independent and local distilleries. Check out our menus below

We offer a selection of local, national and international cask ale, keg beer and cider.

We’re serving a range of ales straight from the cask, the freshest beer from our 10-tap keg wall and the best still ciders.

We love proper beer as much as someone who really, really loves proper beer. We’re constantly changing our barrels and kegs so there's always something new to get stuck into, whilst also bringing back some old time favourites.

We've also have a wide selection of fantastic spirits and wines from up and down the county, and some real special ones from fantastic independent distilleries and vineyards.

Plus, we are expanding our range in our beer fridge which houses a selection of carefully selected and (sometimes a bit out there!) beers and ciders.

Not a fan of alcohol, or need to drive home? No worries, we've always got low and no alcohol beer available. A variety of traditional soft drinks from independent suppliers are also available.

With a wide range of drink selection, we’re sure to have something to tickle your fancy!

TAKE ME HOME WITH YOU

You know how it is; you pop in to your local for a drink after work but can only have one because the dog needs a walk and the in-laws arrive for dinner at 7.

Yep, life can be so cruel when all you want to do is savour that sweet taste of decent beer.

Well, fear not because we have just the thing to ease your pain. We can pour you a take-home can of fresh beer or cider, from our cask, keg and cider wall so you can continue to enjoy your favourite tipple at home.

We also now have limited 4 pint re-usable Wight Bear Growlers, simply fill it up, drink it, bring it back and start again. The take home cask ale and cider is also available in a 3 litre bag in box.

Beer & Cider

Our pride and passion; Cask Beer! We have an ever rotating range of casks coming through at The Wight Bear with different styles and different breweries always up on our wall. Keep an eye on our socials we’ll post our latest drops!

We have 3 permanent listings on our Keg Wall;

  • Our house cider on Tap #1 BumbleBee Craft Cider - 4.5% Medium-dry, lightly sparkling - ‘Robust and complex tannic structure, rolling from sweet to dry with a light finish and scrumptious sun-baked West Country aroma. Refreshingly moreish. A real crowd pleaser.’

  • Our house pale ale on Tap #2 Siren Craft - Lumina - 4.2% GF Session IPA - ‘Lumina is our shining light, glowing with juicy tropical fruit notes. Hoppy aromas of mango and pineapple guide you towards explosive flavour, flashes of delicate citrus highlights and refreshing balanced bitterness.’

  • Our house lager on Tap #10 Stiegl - Goldbräu - 4.9% Austrian Lager - ‘The liquid gold of Salzburg, stylish, characteristic golden-blonde colour and impressive foam head. The full-bodied and finely-malted Goldbräu is brewed with the highest quality local ingredients and offers a delightfully fresh yet well-rounded flavour.

We have 3 permanent listings on our Still Cider Board;

  • Purbeck Cider Co. - Joe’s Farmhouse - 5.6% Authentic Dry Cider - ‘An authentic dry cider with a spiced apple aroma, Joe’s Farmhouse Dry packs a bold rounded flavour with subtle hints of lemon zest.’

  • Thistly Cross Cider - Whisky Cask Cider - 6.7% Barrel-Aged Cider - ‘The first release from our barrel-aged range; matured in Whisky Casks from Glen Moray Distillery. The perfect marriage between Scottish methods and Scotland’s favourite craft cider. We use single malt scotch whisky casks to give our cider it’s warming notes of oak, vanilla and honey.’

  • Farmer Jim’s - Rhubarb Bob - 4% Rhubarb Infused Cider - ‘Tart Rhubarb infused with a swirl of vanilla for a refreshing long drink.’

Alongside these we have another 6 stunning still ciders up on the board.

 Wine

We’re not just about beer though! We have a fantastic range of wines, some organic, some local, some biodynamic, all delicious. We pick our wines seasonly, we’ll have a Spring & Summer wine list running April - September and an Autumn & Winter wine list running October - March.
